1. Introduction

Anything to Markdown ("the Application") is a local file conversion tool developed by CMB TechDev, a division of CMB Films Services, Inc. The Application converts documents, spreadsheets, images, and other files into Markdown format. It is designed to be fully local and privacy-first. This Privacy Policy explains how the Application handles your information, which, in short, is that it does not send your information anywhere.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

The Application does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information or file content. Specifically:

• We do not upload your files or their contents to any server.
• We do not collect names, email addresses, or account information.
• We do not track your usage, conversions, or activity.
• We do not use analytics, advertising, or third-party trackers.
• We do not require an account, sign-in, or internet connection to use the Application.

3. How Your Files Are Processed

All file conversion happens locally on your device using on-device processing. When you convert a file, it is read from your local storage, converted to Markdown in your device's memory, and written back to a location you choose.

Your files and the resulting Markdown output remain entirely under your control at all times. Nothing is sent to CMB TechDev or any external service.

4. Local Storage and File Access

The Application requires access to the files you choose to convert and to the folders where you save output. This access is used solely to perform the conversion you request. The Application may store local preferences (such as your theme or default output folder) on your device. These settings never leave your machine.

5. No Internet Connection Required

The Application is fully functional offline. Because no data is transmitted, there are no network requests involved in the conversion process. If future optional features require connectivity (such as checking for updates), they will be clearly disclosed and will not transmit your file contents.

6. Third-Party Services

The Application does not integrate with third-party analytics, advertising networks, or cloud storage providers. Your data is never shared with, sold to, or accessible by any third party.

7. Children's Privacy

Because the Application does not collect any personal information from anyone, it does not knowingly collect information from children. The Application is safe to use by users of all ages.

8. Your Control and Rights

Since all data stays on your device, you retain full control at all times. You can delete converted files, output, and local preferences directly through your operating system or by uninstalling the Application. There is no server-side data for us to access, export, or delete on your behalf.
